COUNCIL VACANCY:

Notice is hereby given that on October 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, at the Old Forge Borough Building, 310 South Main Street, Old Forge, Pennsylvania, the Borough Council of the Borough of Old Forge, at a Special Meeting will entertain nominations and vote to appoint a registered elector of the Borough of Old Forge by resolution to fill the vacancy in the office of a member of Borough Council of the Borough of Old Forge to hold office until the first Monday in January of 2026.

Any person interested in being nominated and/or considered by Council to fill the vacancy in the office of a member of Borough Council of the Borough of Old Forge should submit a resume to the Borough Secretary no later than October 14, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Interviews shall be conducted on October 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. prior to the Special Meeting for all persons who have submitted a resume as indicated herein and shall be open to the public.

No person shall be appointed to fill the vacancy in the office of a member of Borough Council of the Borough of Old Forge unless the person is a registered elector of the Borough and has resided within the Borough of Old Forge continuously for at least one year immediately prior to the person’s appointment.

This notice is given in accordance with the requirements of and in compliance with Section 1006 of the Borough Code
